The May Fayre

Join us for the annual Titchfield Fayre, a vibrant community event in Barry’s Meadow, beginning with a lively parade through the square. Enjoy a day of music, dancing, a dog show, children’s activities, stalls, and more, all celebrating this year’s ‘Nature’ theme. Proceeds support local charities.

About the event

Titchfield Village Fayre started in its current format to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. This was so well received that people said it should happen every year. The following year, another fayre was held for the Coronation of King Charles III in May 2023.

 

The village used to have a very successful annual carnival, which was run for many years by The Bonfire Boys. Unfortunately, this all came to an end after over 100 years in 2010. The carnival was a traditional spectacle with floats, vintage cars, fun fairs, and stalls and attracted people from miles around.

 

The village mourned the loss of this event, and in 2022, the drive for community gatherings in celebration of the Jubilee prompted a group of volunteers to run a fayre with a nod to the carnival. This fayre was very successful, and as a result, a group of volunteers…
