In a remarkable effort to ensure it remains a central hub for our community, Titchfield Village Trust has undertaken significant initiatives to secure and enhance the Village Hall.
Recognising the importance of the Village Hall to Titchfield's social fabric, TVT invested £2,000 to successfully negotiate and extend the hall's lease by an additional 64 years. This strategic move guarantees that the hall will continue to serve as a focal point for community events and activities for decades to come.
Comprehensive Refurbishment and Modernisation
Following the lease extension, TVT assumed responsibility for the hall's management and embarked on an ambitious refurbishment project, raising £200,000 to revitalize the facility. Key improvements included:
Roof Replacement and Solar Panel Installation: The aging roof was replaced, and new solar panels were installed to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.
Interior Upgrades: The hall's interior received a complete makeover, featuring a new floor, modern kitchen, updated lighting, advanced sound and stage lighting systems, new chairs and tables, upgraded radiators, and interior doors.
Architectural Restoration: The removal of the outdated false ceiling unveiled the original vaulted roof space, restoring the hall's historic charm.
Accessibility Enhancements: Improvements were made to ensure the hall is accessible to all members of the community, reflecting TVT's commitment to inclusivity.
